This is a convenience translation. The Spanish version is official and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
1. Nature of the Service
The service is provided by SIPPY, S.A. DE C.V., a Salvadoran company identified in the Terms and Conditions (sippy.lat/terms). Sippy provides a conversational interface that translates User instructions into authorization operations directed at a smart contract authorized by the User themselves. Sippy does not hold, custody, control, or move User funds at any time.
2. Regulatory Status
Sippy operates as an orchestration technology provider and, as of the date of this notice, does not hold nor is it in the process of obtaining a license or authorization as:
- Banking or financial institution.
- Payment processor or money transmitter.
- Digital asset custodian or administrator.
- Broker or dealer of securities or financial instruments.
- Digital asset service provider or equivalent.
The protection mechanisms of traditional financial institutions (such as deposit guarantees or compensation funds) do not apply to the Service. This status will be kept updated on this page as the applicable legal framework and operating conditions evolve.
3. Current Service Parameters
Values current as of the last update of this page. They may change in accordance with the Terms; the applicable value is always shown before confirming each operation.
- Sippy Transaction Fee: $0 per operation. The Transaction Fee may change per Clause 9 of the Terms, with prior notice.
- Gas Fee (network cost): determined by the public blockchain network, not by Sippy. On transfers between Sippy users, the network cost is currently covered by Sippy, so the value displayed to the User is $0. In other flows, the estimated value is shown before confirming.
- Maximum daily spending limit: $50 USD by default; $500 USD when the User enables the recovery email per Clause 8.3 of the Terms. Within the applicable maximum, the User configures their own operating limit.
4. Third-Party Providers
Provision of the Service requires the technical participation of independent Third-Party Providers. Each provider operates under its own terms and conditions, which the User accepts directly as a condition of using the Service (Clause 10 of the Terms):
- Messaging platform: WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Terms: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal
- Wallet and smart contract infrastructure: Coinbase Developer Platform (embedded wallets). Terms: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/developer-platform/terms-of-service
- Public blockchain network: transactions settle on a globally accessible public blockchain network. Transaction data is public and immutable.
- On/offramp providers (currency conversion): independent entities regulated in their respective jurisdictions. Currently: Colurs (Colombian pesos, https://colurs.io), Mt Pelerin (SEPA transfers in euros, https://www.mtpelerin.com/terms-of-service), and Coinbase Onramp (https://www.coinbase.com/legal/user_agreement). Their fees, exchange rates, and identity verification (KYC) procedures are defined by each provider on its own platform.
